  • Analytic Studies - The Office of the Chancellor continually studies the number and progress of transfer students coming into the CSU. Reports on upper and lower division transfer students are available through this link to the CSU Office of the Chancellor's website and are used to enhance our services to these students.

     discusses the important role transfer plays in California’s postsecondary education system, and the many
     intricacies of the transfer function.

    Seeking the Definition of Academic Diversity in the Community Colleges:  Highlights from the Transfer and
    Retention of Urban Community College Students Project (TRUCCS).
     
  • A Report on the Role of the California Community Colleges in Teacher Preparation
    The 2003 findings in this report can be compared to the work conducted by Debra Solomon from the Goldman
    School of Public Policy at the University of California at Berkeley.  (Attachment B)  In her 2003 study for The
    Institute for Higher Education Leadership and Policy at California State University Sacramento on teacher
    preparation efforts at the community colleges.
     
  •  A Transfer Discussion Document (A document from CIAC)
     
    Written May, 2005, by the Intersegmental Committee of Academic Senates (ICAS) focuses the three
     segments of the California public higher education system which currently operate several programs intended to
     facilitate the transfer of students between the California Community Colleges and California State University
     and University of California systems.
