Dear
Colleague,
SJSU will soon open to
undergraduate applicants for the Spring 2009 admission
cycle. Because we expect to have record enrollments for this coming fall and to
balance out our academic year enrollment, SJSU will significantly limit the
application period for the spring term. Please advise students to apply early
and meet all deadlines.
UNDERGRADUATE
APPLICATION STATUS--SPRING 2009
Undergraduate
applicants must apply during the month of August for the Spring
2009 term. SJSU
closes for all undergraduate applicants at 11:59 pm PDT on Sunday, August 31,
2008. This includes
all undergraduate international applications.
ENROLLMENT
LIMITATIONS--SPRING 2009
Freshman
'deferred' to Spring from the Fall 2008 term
There are fewer
than 50 students who took part in the reconsideration process for fall and who
chose to attend in the spring term instead. Those students are being tracked
through the process and most will enter as lower division transfers. These few
students are not restricted by major. We are in communication with these
students on an individual basis.

traditionally offered admission to frosh at the mid-year. Fewer than 100
first-time frosh normally apply for spring admission.
